Senate Passes USA Freedom Act Without Amendments, Moves to President Obama’s Desk

The Senate voted 67-32 Tuesday afternoon to pass the House’s USA Freedom Act without any of the amendments offered by Senate Majority Leader Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY).

The legislation will now go to President Obama’s desk to be signed into law Tuesday evening.

The USA Freedom Act that was previously passed by the U.S. House of Representatives would, in effect, stop the NSA’s bulk surveillance collection and reform the programs that lapsed when the Patriot Act expired at midnight Sunday, after GOP presidential candidate, Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY), filibustered the spy program for 11 hours.

The first amendment that failed to pass was the McConnell-Burr amendment. According to the Guardian, this amendment would “Change the amicus on the Fisa court – the public-interests advocate who would argue, in part, about civil liberties concerns to the secret court that oversees many surveillance programs.”

McConnell and Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Sen. Richard Burr (R-NC) wanted an amendment to the USA Freedom Act that extends the time for the government to transfer custody of phone records to private telecom companies from

FBI Report Adds Fuel to Fire Over Expiring Patriot Act Snooping Powers

Earlier this month, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the USA Freedom Act, which would renew some of the “less controversial” expiring portions of the Patriot Act, but also would end the government’s bulk collection of phone data. That bill is now facing resistance in the Senate, where Republican leaders assert that a full extension on the Patriot Act provisions should be granted without any changes. However, an FBI report admitting that no major cases have been cracked with surveillance powers authorized by the Patriot Act provides fodder to fuel the fight against extending the Patriot Act’s bulk data collection.

Section 215 of the Patriot Act, slated to expire on June 1, authorizes the government to collect “any tangible things” that the government proves are “relevant to” an investigation into suspected terrorists. It permits government agents to compel businesses to turn over records and documents of Americans who have no official ties to terrorist organizations.

The NSA’s unconstitutional, warrantless phone snooping program operates under Section 215. Supporters of the program claim it is critical in the fight against terror.

In a surprising bipartisan vote of 338-88, members of the House approved the USA Freedom Act, which would extend most of the powers except for the bulk collection of data. Under the USA Freedom Act, the government would have to ask phone companies to store the data, and agents would have to apply for a particular number if they believed it was associated with terrorism.

FK – How much longer? Will all of amerika dig the ditch it’s told to dig then wet its pants when the machine bun bolts slam home and die stupidly wondering “How did this ever happen to me?”

Senate Leadership Stabs Gun Owners in the Back

— Loretta Lynch is confirmed as Obama’s new Attorney General

“Eric Holder began disregarding the Constitution and laws after he was confirmed as Attorney General. Ms. Lynch has [already] told the Senate that’s what she’s going to do.” — Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX), speaking in opposition to Lynch’s nomination on the Senate floor, April 23, 2015

ACTION: See below to contact Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell to express your deep displeasure with his role in pushing the confirmation of anti-gun Loretta Lynch.

Mitch McConnell leads the betrayal, joins with Harry Reid to support Lynch

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and his leadership team put a big, fat knife in the back of gun owners in connection with the confirmation of anti-gun Attorney General Loretta Lynch today.

Close to 50 senators had announced their intention to vote against Lynch’s nomination, and pro-gun senators were filibustering Lynch.

Not only that, GOA was prepared to work with Senators to invoke a parliamentary maneuver which would have killed Lynch’s nomination, because in the weeks leading up to the vote today, she didn’t have the 60 votes necessary to shut off a filibuster under Rule XXII of the Senate rules.

In fact, 43 Senators ultimately voted against Lynch, which would have been enough votes to continue a filibuster and keep her from being confirmed. But more on that below.

You can see which Senators VOTED TO FILIBUSTER the Lynch nomination here.

And, you can view the FINAL CONFIRMATION vote here.

In both cases, a “NO” vote is the pro-gun vote.

Chuck Baldwin: Rand Paul: Pros And Cons

*Rand’s recent homage to Benjamin Netanyahu and the Israeli lobby

This is another area where Rand’s father, Ron, was never willing to compromise. Ron had a constitutionally-correct understanding of America’s relationship with Israel and other Middle Eastern nations. And due to the constitutional ignorance (and scriptural misinterpretation regarding the modern state of Israel, thanks mostly to preachers such as John Hagee) of most Christian conservatives, it was this issue that most alienated many of them from Ron’s presidential campaigns. Doubtless, Rand is trying to circumvent that potential opposition from within the conservative Christian community by showing them, “See, I am not my father.”

Noted political researcher and analyst Joel Skousen put this in perspective recently, saying, “Rand Paul has the same problem [as Ted Cruz]. He’s decided that he can’t get ahead in politics without being a yes-man to the Israeli lobby, and so he takes his pilgrimage to Israel, meets with Netanyahu and other politically connected Israelis and pledges to stand with Israel. The problem with that position, as I’ve explained many times in the WAB [World Affairs Brief], is that Israel’s leaders are all compromised globalists (especially Netanyahu) so Christians have to learn to separate their allegiance to God’s promises of restoring the house of Israel to their homeland and the aggressive globalist policies of the Israeli government.” Amen!

FK – How sad, pathetic and disgusting that millions will go to the polls and instead of putting the Bill of Rights first they will only consider their allegiance to their version, sub-version or subversion of 3000-year-old tribal propaganda from a tribe that didn’t create its religion to help us, much less even imagine that such a nation and time would ever exist, and whose descendants are only using their supporters in this country as dupes to support a nation that shouldn’t even exist and wouldn’t if not for the wrangling of empires and banksters.

Why You Should Not Vote For Rand Paul In 2016

FK – Look at it this way. If Paul wins and turns into Dubya, it’ll piss a lot of people off and maybe wake them up to what will be required. If he gets elected and attempts to do what he should, within the power of the presidency which isn’t always much. the elites will kill him.

Either way maybe the average dumbass and the ‘libertarians’ and ‘conservatives’ will finally wake up to and develop the resolve for what will be required.

If Hitlery or some similar commie trash wins, gun and ammo sales will remain high, the militias will continue forming and eventually enough will see the necessity of what will be required.

It’s a win-win situation. Got to think positive!

Rand Paul Will Save US!!

FK – No prez candidate or prez is gonna ‘save us’ until we get off our asses and go do what will be required. Any prez who tried to really put the governments in their places would experience a severe reduction in life expectancy.

The idea that he would ‘save’ us from the banksters who created the country he prostrated himself before is more than ludicrous:

PM: Israel to erect Red Army memorial

FK – If Paul really believes the things he said to get elected he’d be better off staying in the Senate long term where he might be able to do a little good. If he’s under some illusion that he can ‘fix’ the country as president without activating the militia and bringing home the troops and opening “Liberal”(commie) trash  and bankster season he’s sorely mistaken. These creatures have killed in the name of their evil before and will have no problem doing so again.

The presidency has always been the office of the elites, back to Jackson, really from the beginning.

Our country was founded by the colonial aristocrats of the 18th century, plantation owners, shysters, banksters, smugglers, etc. The diff. is some of them did truly value their version of human Liberty. Now they’re mostly whores.

It must be stressed that we can make some difference in elections beneath the now red house and obviously they do respond to proper pressure, the ‘gun rights’ movement proves this. But our weapons and the Second Amendment without the will to use them are nothing but toys to be regulated and taken.

Sen. Rand Paul Would be “Happy to Dissolve” the UN

U.S. Senator Rand Paul (shown, R-Ky.), a leading contender for the 2016 GOP presidential nomination, would be “happy to dissolve” the United Nations, the senator told gun-rights activists at a recent gathering in New Hampshire. Widely ridiculed in the United States as the “dictators club,” the controversial global body has become especially unpopular with American gun owners outraged about the UN’s accelerating attacks on the God-given rights enshrined U.S. Constitution’s Second Amendment. The message was apparently popular in New Hampshire.

During a campaign-style gathering packed with gun-rights supporters at the Londonderry Fish & Game Club, Senator Paul reportedly addressed a crowd in what was supposed to be a press-free briefing. While the senator mostly answered questions on gun rights, with the UN increasingly wading into the discussion and pushing a deeply controversial global gun-control scheme known as the UN Arms Trade Treaty, the global outfit inevitably came up.

According to a reporter from RealClearPolitics.com, who apparently did not leave the room when journalists were instructed to get out, the Kentucky senator said that a body to “discuss diplomacy” was not necessarily a bad idea. The UN and its current structure, though, and the fact that American taxpayers are forced to provide a “huge chunk” of the UN budget — about a fourth, by most estimates — is what Paul said he found objectionable.

FK – The BATF Nazi trash and Bloomberg et al are far more dangerous and close to home than the U.N. which could be dealt with via a couple of Abrams tanks. Would he be willing to see all the aforementioned arrested, tried for treason and executed as it so richly deserves?

It looks as if he’ll run. My predictions in prez races have a sorry record but Cruz probably has a better chance among ‘conservatives’ because he looks like a Baptist preacher. Paul could do more good in the Senate over the long haul and if he wins the now red house his life expectancy would probably plunge.
