ACTION:  Contact your Senators.  Demand that they oppose the Lynch nomination, and do everything in their power to get the ammunition ban reversed.

A smirking White House spokesman Josh Earnest couldn’t conceal his glee, yesterday, as he reveled in the trick Obama had played on the Second Amendment movement.

Think back to April 17, 2013, when the Senate killed the Feinstein amendment to ban the AR-15 by a vote of 60-40.  This fell 20 votes short of the needed 60, even though Democrats controlled the Senate at the time. But now Obama is trying to effectively ban the AR-15 by “regulatory fiat” by banning the most common ammunition used in that firearm, M855 ammunition.

But a gushing Earnest was unrepentant:  “The President has long believed that there are some commonsense steps that we can take … taking some commonsense steps to prevent people who shouldn’t have guns from getting guns.”

FK – My parents’ generation and before knew real poverty. Now they can go get steak and ice cream and watch the propaganda cast on their big screens so every thing must be OK. The ‘baby boomers’ were the first spoiled generation, of which I am in the tail. Most of us are too stupid to see what’s in front of our faces.

Kids today? The Ron Paul ‘revolution’ was certainly ‘progress,’ but not in the communist sense of ‘progressivism.’ Most of them are still indoctrinated by the govt. schools and universities, but now it’s countered by the net, for those who seek to pay attention. A minority they will always be. They will be the ones who will have to fight this war.

But to say things haven’t ‘progressed’ is blind. The ‘gun rights’ movement has made ‘progress’ though we have a long way to go. We are still deep in the war zone but to say it’s hopeless is cowardice, which many choose, and always will simply because it’s easier.

Utah hears of danger of dope-crazed rabbits if marijuana legalised

Legalising medical marijuana in Utah could lead to absent-minded rabbits and other animals who don’t feel their natural instincts, a special agent for the DEA has warned the state.

In testimony last week before the Utah state senate, and first spotted by the Washington Post, special agent Matt Fairbanks expressed “some severe concerns” about marijuana as a cash crop. “Now I deal in facts. I deal in science,” he said, citing his experience ranging Utah’s mountains as a member of the state’s “marijuana eradication” team to bolster his concerns.

“Deforestation has left marijuana grows with even rabbits that had cultivated a taste for the marijuana,” Fairbanks declared, suggesting that hares were yet one more of an unknown number of species to have succumbed to a cannabis addiction.

Leporine marijuana abuse was so severe, Fairbanks said, that “one of them refused to leave us, and we took all the marijuana around him, but his natural instincts to run were somehow gone.”

“Personally, I have seen entire mountainsides subjected to pesticides, harmful chemicals, deforestation and erosion,” he added. “The ramifications to the flora, the animal life, the contaminated water are still unknown.”

FK – That guy should look into becoming a fiction writer. The problem is they’ll make less money protecting the rabbits than they do looking for pot in the woods. The ‘drug war’ exists because all the ‘right’ people on all sides profit from it.

We have the tech today to deal with this. All courtroom proceedings should be streamed live to the net, at all times.

The black-robed shysters are our employees. End of discussion. The shysters in general have too much power. Allegedly there was a 13th Amendment to prevent them from holding any political office. We need to look at that again and find a way to keep their club out of our government.

Have they tried to work through the legislature to get the ‘law’ changed and to put the shysters in their place, as our servants?

In his speech Friday before the Conservative Political Action Conference in National Harbor, Md., National Rifle Association Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre discussed a host of issues impacting gun rights, declaring they all depend on each other. Curiously absent from his speech was any acknowledgment of the danger amnesty for illegal aliens with a “pathway to citizenship” would pose to continued government recognition of the right to keep and bear arms.

That’s because credible polling confirms it would add a massive influx of new Democrat and “gun control”- sympathizing voters to the rolls. And that tracks with warnings issued by Gun Owners of America, curiously alone among national gun rights advocacy groups in sounding an alarm.

GOA has warned that the “pathway” will provide for millions of new anti-gun voters with the electoral clout to undo all hard-won legislative and judicial gains gun owners have enjoyed in recent years. That the administration is working toward that goal is corroborated by what Homeland Security Jeh Johnson, the official behind so-called “executive amnesty,” told the United Conference of Mayors, when he maintained that “the approximately 11 million people who are in the country illegally have ‘earned the right to be citizens.’”

Despite knowing this, and knowing that that one of the supposed “pro-gun Democrats” who betrayed NRA and gun owner support has openly proclaimed immigration “will decide who is in charge of this country for the next 20 or 30 years,” the NRA head talked about all kinds of other issues but didn’t breathe a word about amnesty.

Backlash momentum builds on proposed bullet ban

While public backlash is building over a proposed ban on green-tipped M855 ammunition for modern sport-utility rifles, people are buying all the ammunition they can, KNOP News reported yesterday, while more than 100 members of Congress have signed a letter headed this week to the director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

The letter was discussed last Friday by Congressman Bob Goodlatte (R-VA) on Fox News. An accompanying story from Fox quoted Alan Gottlieb, founder and executive vice president of the Second Amendment Foundation, who accurately noted, “Almost any hunting rifle bullet will go through body armor, so you could prohibit almost any rifle bullet with this. This is the administration redefining the law on its own.”

Soft body armor worn by police was designed to stop handgun bullets. Armor-piercing handgun projectiles were banned years ago, but because M855 ammunition can now be used in some handguns built on the AR-15 platform, ATF wants to re-classify the round, despite the fact that it has been allowed for years by specific exemption. As Gottlieb explained, virtually any rifle bullet designed for hunting, or even target shooting, predator control, competition or recreational shooting will go through soft body armor.
