There’s no such thing as a good ‘gun law.’ All gun control is propaganda designed to condition the sheeple to accept more control with total civilian disarmament being the final objective thus all gun control is an act of war. The Second Amendment, as the rest of the Bill of Rights, is an acknowledgment of our natural born rights, not a granting. The bill is the Cornyn-Schumer-Feinstein-Blumenthal-Murphy legislation, S. 2135. And it would bribe the states and force federal agencies to send every possible eligible name to the national gun ban list, NICS.
This means that a whole lot of decent Americans are going to be added into the system.
Some people claim that S. 2135 — and its counterpart in the House — are really not that bad. After all, they say, the bills don’t contain the words “traffic tickets,” “veterans,” “senior citizens,” and so forth.
But that’s the problem. Legislators like Chuck Schumer are not going to tell you this up front.

The Senate just had its first big test on guns in the 115th Congress.
And with one exception, every single Democrat voted anti-gun.
The vote was on the confirmation of GOA ally Jeff Sessions to be U.S. Attorney General.
With the exception of West Virginia Democrat Joe Manchin, the successful 52-47 vote was otherwise completely party-line, with Republicans voting for the Second Amendment, and Democrats opposing it (Sen. Sessions abstained).

Currently, open carry is legal in Kentucky — without a permit.
But if someone wants to carry concealed (or simply put a coat over the firearm) he or she must get government permission.

A dozen states have Constitutional Carry — or concealed carry without the permission slip! And they are among the safest in the nation.

Constitutional Carry Reciprocity Gaining Steam
Rep. Marlin Stutzman is the sponsor of H.R. 923, a national reciprocity bill that has more than 100 cosponsors.
This bill would protect the right of concealed carriers to bring firearms with them for self-defense as they travel.
And the bill is Constitutional Carry friendly, in that it does not force concealed carriers from permitless carry states to get licenses before they travel out of state.
More and more Representatives are cosponsoring H.R. 923. The number has doubled over the past several weeks.
It’s imperative that we get even more cosponsors, however, because the House leadership may bring up a reciprocity bill in the Fall.
While there are other similar bills, only H.R. 923 protects citizens who live in Constitutional Carry states.

FK – As an OJT Combat MP Marine Reservist back in the late 80s or so I had to ‘qualify’ with an old .45. I’m only a ‘decent’ handgun shot but would’ve shot expert but for the gun’s tendency to hit high and to the right. I don’t think it was me so much because I had a good group up there and shot ‘sharpshooter.’ It would’ve been ‘expert’ if I had simply held the sights according to Kentucky windage, allowing for the weapon’s malfunction or mine, whichever, but I was too stubborn and ticked off that uncle sugar would give me such a device to ‘qualify’ with. We are talking about the Marines here but they could spend billions on the aircraft industry and give us grunts crap to work with.
I know this is geared toward simple street self defense but what about when they’re wearing body armor, a situation that is guaranteed to come? I’m asking only because I’ve seen various scenarios discussed over the years. I often think of that scene from ‘Black Hawk Down’ where the Ranger bleeds out from a wound to his groin area. From my years of hunting I know that’s usually what causes death. A hit to the spinal column or brain being more rare or not possible for various reasons.

In the wake of continuing efforts by Barack Obama to scare us into destroying our guns, Black Friday recorded the largest number of gun purchases (as evidenced by background checks) on record: a stunning 185,000 firearms purchases.
It is hard to overstate the importance of this.
Obama, Bloomberg, Feinstein, the New York Times, MSNBC, academia, Left-wing churches, and every major liberal institution in America have spent massive amounts of money trying to convince Americans that guns are “scary” and need to be banned.
Instead, to their consternation and dismay, Americans have concluded that the way to keep themselves safe is to arm themselves.
Like the Old Testament plotter in the Book of Esther, these liberals have hung themselves on their own gallows.
