FK – Gee, I remember the reactions when we formed ‘The College Patriots’ back in the 90s at my state college. They looked at us as if we were trying to bring in the plague and they would have happily treated us as such if possible.

Gun-Free Zones Abolished at Ohio National Guard Facilities

As of December 18, Ohio’s National Guard facilities are no longer gun-free.

The change is the result of a “security review and update,” which Governor John Kasich (R) ordered following the July terror attack on unarmed Marines and Sailors in Chattanooga.

According to The Columbus Dispatch, “72 Guard facilities” now allow the carrying of arms for self-defense, and recruitment offices in Columbus, Dayton, Findlay, and Painesville reopened “after having been moved to nearby armories.”

Ohio National Guard members had been unarmed until now due to “concerns about negligent discharges of firearms.” But the Dispatch reports that the combination of the Chattanooga attack, the 2013 assault on military personnel at the DC Navy Yard, and the heinous November 2009 attack on soldiers at Fort Hood changed everything.

The evolution of US military camouflage: From basic green and khaki to digital patterns and beyond

Last summer, the U.S. Army confirmed that soldiers will begin wearing the new Army Combat Uniform (ACU) that bears the Operational Camouflage Pattern (OCP) – also known as Scorpion W2. They are now being issued, and soldiers are expected to retire their prior uniforms by summer 2018.

This means it’s the end of the line for the Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP), which was known for its digital-like appearance. Camouflage has undergone numerous changes in the past decade, and the new OCP is just the latest effort by the U.S. military to develop the “perfect camouflage.”

While not standing out on the battlefield would seem fairly obvious, the use of camouflage by the U.S. military only dates back 60 years. And, the use of camouflage by any army dates back just a couple of centuries.

FK – Someone must’ve been getting paid off all those years to keep them dressed in that absurd nearly baby blue crap they wore. Our ‘troops’ are pawns and their lives and health are tertiary at best. The old woodland we used is not good for temperate climates in the winter, too much green. I use the multi-cam to hunt and it looks like a much better all-around pattern if that’s all they claim they can afford.

Lot’s of ‘good people’ have shot lots of other good people into ditches because they were too stupid and cowardly to say ‘No.’ Most ‘good people’ in this country have been pacified by the government indoctrination centers, the mainstream news and entertainment media and the organized religions. They are willing slaves.

Don’t carry a gun until you have thought about using it in various circumstances. I learned by reading and shooting over the years. There are tons of vids on the net that can teach those who can’t afford to drop 600 bucks on a class. You don’t have to be Rambo to stand up for your Liberty. That’s what this is ultimately about. The crime issue is a red herring.

Did you offer to teach those college kids for free? It’s a good bet that they can’t afford a 600 buck class.

The commie newswhores won’t report on a ‘good guy with a gun’ unless they are forced to, at least on the national level. Lots of big city newswhores are probably prone to pressure from the local commie politicians not to do such reports. That’s the last thing they want is the common sheeple getting the idea they can stand up for themselves, especially against them and their badge wearing tools.

 

Gun Rights Advocates Have A Devastating New Argument Against Gun Control. Here It Is.

“Screw you.” That’s it. Except the first word isn’t “Screw.”

It’s not exactly a traditional argument, but it’s certainly appropriate here. The fact is that there is no point in arguing with liberal gun-control advocates because their argument is never in good faith. They slander gun owners as murderers. They lie about their ultimate aim, which is to ban and confiscate all privately owned weapons. And they adopt a pose of reasonability, yet their position is not susceptible to change because of evidence, facts or law. None of those matter – they already have their conclusion. This has to do with power – their power.

You can’t argue with someone who is lying about his position or whose position is not based upon reason. You can talk all day about how crime has diminished where concealed carry is allowed, while it flourishes in Democrat blue cities where gun control is tightest. You can point to statistics showing that law-abiding citizens who carry legally are exponentially less likely to commit gun crimes than other people. You can cite examples of armed citizens protecting themselves and their communities with guns. You can offer government statistics showing how the typical American is at many times greater risk of death from an automobile crash, a fall, or poisoning than from murder by gun.

But none of that matters, because this debate is not about facts. It’s about power. The liberal anti-gun narrative is not aimed at creating the best public policy but at disarming citizens the liberal elite looks down upon – and for whom weapons represent their last-ditch ability to respond to liberal overreach.

Put simply, liberal elitists don’t like the fact that, at the end of the day, an armed citizenry can tell them, “No.”

There will never come a time when our globalist/communist domestic blood enemies throw up their hands and say “Oh sorry we bothered you. We’re going home now to live in peace and Liberty with our neighbors.” We will have to hunt them. They will force us to it.

We tried back in the 90s to organize a militia force to deal with this evil. But too many, then as now, were too cowardly and too afraid of losing their mortgages, 401Ks, bass boats, SUVs, big screen tvs, and on and on. The Founders would spit on us.

Things will have to get much worse before they get better, and this is to our benefit. We would be better off with a Hitlery in the now red house for it will do what the Marxist mutt has done: Sold more guns and ammo than the klintons ever thought about, woke lot’s of sheeple up and pissed lots of people off, and it may yet do something so arrogant that even the most pathetic and cowardly ‘conservative’ or ‘libertarian’ or ‘pro-gunner’ would finally accept and prepare for the reality of what will be required.

Army to Recruiters: Avoid Civilians Who Volunteer to Guard, Report Them

On July 20, a policy letter from the U.S. Army Recruiting Command (USAREC) instructed recruiters to avoid contact and/or conversation with armed “law-abiding” civilians who volunteer to guard recruitment centers and to report said volunteers to law enforcement “if the recruiter feels threatened.”

Stars and Stripes responded to the letter with a July 22 headline that read, “Army To Recruiters: Treat Armed Citizens As Security Threat.”

According to Stars and Stripes, the letter came at the beginning of a week in which citizens were organizing to stand guard at recruitment stations throughout the country: “Armed citizens — some associated with activist groups and militias — were standing vigil outside recruiting centers in Wisconsin, Georgia, Tennessee, Idaho and elsewhere this week, saying they want to provide protection to service members barred from carrying firearms on duty.”

The volunteerism follows last week’s heinous attack on military offices in Chattanooga, Tennessee, whereby Mohammad Youssuf Abdulazeez allegedly drove up to one office and opened fire from inside his car before going to a second military center, where he was able to fatally shoot four Marines and one sailor. News quickly spread that the military personnel were unable to defend themselves via policies mandating gun free zones on U.S. military bases, recruitment offices, etc., so citizens stepped in to fill the gap.

The military blog This Ain’t Hell published the USAREC letter in full; here is a pertinent excerpt:

Recruiters will not acknowledge the presence or interact with these civilians. If questioned by these alleged concerned citizens; be polite, professional, and terminate the conversation immediately and report the incident to local law enforcement and complete USAREC Form 958 IAW USAREC 190-4 (SIR)

A similar posture has been struck by Marine recruitment offices in some parts of the country.
